Eddie Okwedy’s song is a celebration of life that takes us to Enugu in 1970 when the Biafra war ended. The map here is of a part of Enugu: where myself, my parents, their parents and parents’ parents... are from; one of the cities I grew up in.

‘Happy Survival’ is a patient celebration of life, a graceful nod to the complexity and chance that makes us possible.

I am fundamentally motivated by the desire to help myself and those around me regulate our nervous system and reduce stress in our socio-political and physical environment. Survival is a style.
